Debra Kumar spent 11 years at Google, where she was a Sr. Staff UX Researcher and worked on products including Gmail and Google Search. This past summer, she left Google and moved back to her native Iowa to live in Ames. In this talk, she’ll share reflections on her time at Google, including how the practice of UX at Google did and didn’t change, and her lessons from this. She’ll also share some provocations & facilitate discussion on what’s next for UX, and for how to be reflective about your own career.
