Manual Button Pushers

Workshop: Valued oracles say manual QA is important, so why can't you?
Presenter: Alex Langshall, Test-ops Engineer at Lucid Software

It seems like the software development industry is willing to accept the idea that manual testing is unnecessary, where as other roles are unassailable. In other words, people are willing to claim QA is unnecessary, but are unwilling to say that about the CEO. Why? What's going on here? This talk is going to look at what data actually says about the effectiveness of manual testing in the software industry, as well as give you some tips and tricks to reinforce the value of what you do on a daily basis as well as provide new ways that you can provide value to your organization.
