How valuable is our product? Value measurement and data-driven decision making
December 12 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm CST

Building products that customers love is hard, and identifying how much (or if) they love them isn’t any easier. Knowing what your customers think is fundamental to making good business decisions. But, unlike almost every other number that drives a modern business, the perceptions and beliefs of customers will always be inherently incomplete to measure and prone to high degrees of error. Fortunately, we can draw upon best product principles and social scientific and statistical methodology to find some certainty in the noise.
**Presenter: Will Stone, Ph.D.**
Will is a Staff Data Scientist at Workiva, a SAAS company in Ames, Iowa, where measuring the perceived value of products by customers is his primary daily concern. Previous to Workiva, he has led Product and Customer discovery and User Research (Corteva/Granular). After many years studying Social Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychometrics, and Statistics, Will is excited to bring reliable inferential methods and principles to drive truly data-driven business decisions.
