Configuration Management in Azure @ Source Allies
November 14 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST
Infrastructure as code is a well known and widely adopted practice for creating, configuring, and maintaining Azure resources. Tools like Bicep and Terraform are great for managing serverless resources, but these tools don’t provide a scalable solution for managing the operating system of IaaS VMs. In this presentation we will discuss how using configuration management tools (such as Ansible) can automate and simplify server management in Azure. What will be covered:
Basics of configuration management
The benefits and challenges of using configuration management
Ansible in Azure
Extending infrastructure as code processes & best practices to Ansible
Resources to learn more about configuration management in Azure
